Founded in 2015, GlenWyvis Distillery is one of the largest Community Benefit Societies in the UK, crowdfunded by over 3,600 backers with a portion of proceeds going back to the local community. Nestled amongst the foothills of Ben Wyvis in the Scottish Highlands, the distillery combines modern technology with a traditional process, harnessing renewable energy from wind, rain and sun, while a biomass boiler supplies steam for two small copper stills.
